What the inspector wrote

Although the allegation may have happened, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the allegation; therefore, the allegation is unsubstantiated. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Director, Mary Patten. Appeal rights were provided. Notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.

    The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors.This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on interview and observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above, there are toy, equipment, and shelves that show signs of collection of dirt or spilled food, which poses a potential risk to the health, safety of persons in care.

    The person who signs the child in/out shall use his/her full legal signature and shall record the time of day.This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on interview and record reveiw, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that when the electronic system is not working there is not a paper option to collect signatures which poses a potential risk to the health, safety of persons in care.

    Solid waste shall be stored, located and disposed of in a manner that will not transmit communicable diseases or odors, create a nuisance, or provide a breeding place or food source for insects or rodents.This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on interview and observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in an odor can be detected when entering the toddler classroom, which poses a potential risk the health and safety of persons in care.
