What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Loraine Perez met with Licensees, Jessica Alvarez, for the purpose of conducting an unannounced plan of correction inspection. The purpose of today's inspection was explained. LPA observed a census of three infants and three preschool aged children being supervised by  Licensee and her adult daughter who is her assistant. This facility was cited on 02/05/2026 for being out of compliance with CCR 102425(b), CCR 102416.5(e ) and CCR 102423(a)(2). The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following: 102425(b)  Cribs or play yards shall be free from all loose articles and objects, 102416.5(e ) The licensee shall comply with the capacity requirements for a Small Family Child Care Home when there is no assistant present, and 102423(a)(2) The high chairs shall be used for meal times, licensee shall provide safe, healthful, and comfortable accommodations, furnishings, and equipment. During today's inspection, LPA observed that the infant napping space, portable play yard is free from loose articles and objects creating a safe napping environment for infants in care. LPA observed the licensee was present with one assistant, maintaining capacity requirements of a Large Family Child Care Home License. LPA observed infants in high chairs only during meal times. LPA reviewed a sample of children's files and observed acknowledgement of receipt of licensing reports (LIC9224) were not signed by authorized representatives, a citation is recorded on an LIC809D. Based on today's inspection, LPA determined that the facility implemented and met their plan of correction and are in compliance with CCR 102425(b), CCR 102416.5(e ) and CCR 102423(a)(2). LPA will clear the previously cited deficiency. In the areas that were evaluated, a deficiency was observed at the time of the inspection and cited on LIC 809D . A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee Jessica Alvarez.
