Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jennifer Velasco met with Facility Representative, Director CarrieAnn Getz (Representative), to deliver findings for a complaint alleging staff did not ensure cleaning supplies were inaccessible to children, staff yelled at a child, and staff confined a child to a room. During the investigation, LPA observed cleaning supplies in a locked, inaccessible storage room behind an alarmed gate. Review of staff and children's records did not show any incident in which a child gained access to cleaning supplies. Staff, child, and parent interviews indicated children did not have access to the cleaning supplies. LPA observed staff interacting with children appropriately. Review of staff and children's records did not indicate staff yelled at a child or confined a child to a room. Staff, child, and authorized representative interviews failed to provide evidence of a staff yelling at a child or confining a child to a room. LPA did not obtain pertinent evidence through observation, record review, or interview to supprt the allegations. Although the allegations may be true, there is not a preponderance of evidence to support the allegations; therefore, the allegations are unsubstantiated. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Facility Representative, CarrieAnn Getz. Appeal rights were provided. Notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for parental review for 30 days.
