Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Natalie Dunaway and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gagandeep Singh met with Licensee Representatives, Mercy Ishida and Angelina Bowers, for the purpose of an informal office visit. LPM defined the difference between non-compliance and an informal meeting. LPM advised that the purpose of today's meeting is to help the facility gain compliance. Today's informal meeting was to discuss the type A citations issued on 10/3/2024 (case management) and 10/21/2024 (plan of correction) for the operating the facility out children to teacher ratio (101216.3(b)). The Licensee Representatives stated that they have taken the following steps to maintain compliance: 1. The facility has brought back the former staff, that is fully qualified. 2. Licensee is in process of hiring two additional fully qualified staff members. 3. Licensee, Mercy Ishida, agreed to provide the copy of her own transcripts to qualify as fully qualified staff. LPA discussed follow up documentation for file. LPA and LPM reviewed ratio requirements. LPM and LPA provided information regarding the Technical Support Program (TSP), which is a non-enforcement arm of the Community Care Licensing Division offering onsite support to licensees and providers. This report was reviewed and provided to the Licensee Representatives.
