What the inspector wrote

On May 20th, 2026, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Soleil Marx and Joshua Hatch met with Director, Cathlean Ripley, for the purpose of conducting an unannounced licensee initiated capacity change/room change case management inspection. The facility submitted an application requesting for a capacity decrease from 26 preschool age children to 13 preschool age children, as well as a room change. The fire clearance was granted on 03/04/2026 from Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District. The facility is requesting to utilize the butterflies classroom (previously used by the toddler option) as a preschool classroom. LPAs measured the classroom/indoor activity space which was measures as 474.60 square feet, which will accommodate the requested capacity of 13 preschool age children. LPAs observed 1 toilet and 1 sink within the classroom. LPAs observed classroom contained age appropriate toys, materials, and furniture in an efficient quantity for the requested capacity. The previously used detached preschool classroom is now being utilized for a staff and isolation room as well as contains a staff restroom. LPAs measure the upper playground which is utilized exclusively by the preschool. LPAs measured the space to be 1159.11 square feet which will accommodate the requested capacity of 13 preschool age children. This facility will be approved for a capacity of 13 preschool age children pending final manager review. Exit interview conducted and report reviewed with Director. A Notice of Site Visit provided and must remain posted for 30 days.
