What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analysts Erwina Pascual-Golamco and Jennifer Velasco (LPAs) met with Director Kathleen Breeding for the purpose of an announced case management visit. Director requests to increase their preschool capacity from 73 to 80 preschool children from age two years to entry into Kindergarten. The facility’s hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Fire clearance was granted on 03/29/23. Upon arrival, LPAs observed 28 preschoolers supervised by 6 staff members. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE: A health and safety inspection were conducted in all areas accessible to children. There are 3 preschool classrooms after one preschool classroom square footage was removed from the preschool license and added to the infant license as licensee's request. The total classroom space for Rooms 3, 4, and 5 equals 2866.89 square feet, which accommodates the requested capacity of 80 preschool children. There are 6 toilets and 6 sinks for the children, and 1 separate private restroom for the staff. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024). OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE: The outdoor play area is fenced that is at least four feet tall. The preschool playground is separated from the infant playground. There are shaded areas supplied by the building and trees.LPAs measured the outdoor activity area. The total preschool outdoor activity area equals 9198.33 square feet. This accommodates the requested increase in capacity to 80 preschool children. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024). The following items are required before an updated license will be issued: 1. Licensing Program Manager’s final review 2. LIC200A with wet signature There were no deficiencies cited during today's visit. This report was reviewed with the director and an exit interview was conducted. A Notice of Site Visit was provided and shall remain posted for 30 days.
