Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst Jennifer Velasco (LPAs) conducted unannounced subsequent complaint investigation inspection and met with Licensee and Director Megan Covey (D1). LPA toured the facility, including all activity and classroom spaces, restrooms, food service, and outdoor play areas. Census included 27 preschool and toddler children being supervised by five classroom staff. D1 was reminded never to exceed the conditions, limitations, and capacity specified on the license. Facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The following violations were alleged: Staff are not treating day care children equally, Staff are not meeting day care child's napping needs, Staff did not prevent day care children from engaging in inappropriate behaviors, Staff does not keep day care child's personal information confidential, and Staff are not allowing day care children enough time to eat. During this investigation, LPA conducted interviews, observed staff provide care to children, and obtained relevant documentation. Witness statements, LPA observations, and document reviews failed to corroborate the allegations. The preponderance of evidence standard has not been met; therefore, the allegations are unsubstantiated. Notice of site visit was given to the Director and must remain posted for parental review for 30 days.
