What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Joshua Hatch and Amanda Sutter conducted an unannounced annual inspection and met with the Licensee, Maria Jimenez. There were no other adults in the home at the time of inspection. LPA observed a total of three children being supervised by the licensee. Facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00am \342\200\223 5:30pm. LPA conducted a health and safety inspection and observed that the facility is clean, safe, sanitary, and in good repair with ventilation. LPA observed the required documents were posted where visible to parents. The facility has equipment and toys that are safe for children.LPA observed cleaning compounds on a low shelf in the hallway closet and under the bathroom sink. LPA observed licensee removed these items while LPA was at the facility. LPA observed a thorn bush in the backyard that was overgrown and accessible to children. LPA observed a 3-A40-BC fire extinguisher that appeared to be in working condition and is accessible. LPA observed the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are functioning. The licensee stated there are no weapons or poisons on the premises. Licensee acknowledges 100% supervision is required around bodies of water. Off-limit areas in the home include the master bedroom, master bathroom, left side yard, and bedroom #3. LPA observed a current children's roster, fire drill log, and 15-minute sleep check logs for infants in care. LPA reviewed children\342\200\231s files and observed that they were complete. LPA reviewed staff and facility files and observed the required documentation. LPA observed that the CPR/First Aid certificate was current and expires in September 2026. The licensee was reminded that CPR/First Aid Training must be completed every two years. LPA observed that the mandated reporter training expired in January 2026. PAGE 1. REPORT CONTINUES ON LIC809-C Licensee Maria Jimenez was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. During the exit interview, the Licensee Maria Jimenez, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee Maria Jimenez and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information -andresources/ safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee Maria Jimenez of the importance of checking for and removing any recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. REPORT CONTINUES ON LIC809-C Licensee Maria Jimenez was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. The licensee was provided with a copy of their Appeal Rights (LIC9058) and the licensee's signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, Maria Jimenez. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
