What the inspector wrote

At 3:45 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Pa Dao Vang met with Licensee, Taylor Green, for the purpose of an unannounced, required annual inspection. There were eight daycare children in care during inspection. Licensee stated that there are nine children currently enrolled. Facility hours of operation are from 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday. Off limits area includes front yard, bedrooms #1 and 2, master bedroom with bathroom, full bathroom in the hallway, pantry room, kitchen/dinning, living room, garage, laundry room, and hallway walk-in closet. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. A health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to children. LPA observed the required postings, a working phone, 3A-10-BC fire extinguisher, and functioning combination smoke and carbon monoxide detector. Licensee stated that there are no weapons nor poisons in the home. Toxic and hazardous items were appropriately stored, inaccessible to children. LPA reviewed a staff file. Licensee is currently enrolled in CPR course work to renew their certification. LPA observed Mandated reporter training certificate will expired on 10/4/26 and CPR/First Aid will on 10/6/2026. LPA reviewed children\342\200\231s files. LPA informed Licensee of location change for regional office and provided updated parents\342\200\231 rights forms and postings with current address. Continue report on LIC809-C... APPLICANT OWNS THE HOME: The licensee provided proof of control of property. Licensee understood that her own children under ages 10 years old counts into the ratio, during facility hours. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. LPA discussed about the infant sleep log required for each child under the ages of 1years old. LPA reviewed the 15 minutes logs for the children currently present. This provider is not currently providing Incidental Medical Services IMS services to children in care. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the department. During the exit interview, the LICENSEE Taylor Green, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.
