Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 2/28/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Michelle Perez, met with Licensees daughter/7 assistant Farah Almasri, for the purpose of a pre-licensing, continuation visit, to verify that a pool gate was installed around the perimeter of the pool, and in front of the bedroom windows that are facing the pool. LPA toured the backyard and was guided by assistant to show the installation of the pool fence. The fence is 5' high, self latching and mesh, and completely surrounds the entire pool. During the visit, LPA found that the spa straps were not latching properly to the spa, that is on the side of the house. LPA explained that spa straps must prohibit all four sides from being lifted up to expose the water inside. LPA reviewed appropriate spa straps with assistant. Updated off limit areas: Master room & bathroom, laundry room and garage AND THE AREA OF THE BACKYARD THAT IS BEYOND THE POOL FENCE. No children are allowed beyond the pool fence, in the corridor that runs in front of bedroom windows. No children are allowed on the side of the house, where the spa is located. Children are only allowed in the backyard and on the patio area and the side of the house that is connected to the patio. Pending licensure: Licensee is in process of fixing broken spa straps, to affix the spa cover to the spa, which will prohibit the spa being opened. Once the spa straps are fixed, licensure will be granted.
