What the inspector wrote

On 10/24/2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Marx met with the licensee, Sahar Janah, for the purpose of conducting an unannounced plan of correction inspection. Upon arrival, LPA observed Licensee and assistant present with Licensee's infant. There were no day care children present during today's inspection; Licensee stated day care children would be be arriving shortly. LPA Marx issued a citation on 10/07/2025 under CCR 102416.5(e) for being out of compliance with capacity requirements. On 10/17/2025, LPA issued a civil penalty for failing to correct the citation and issued an additional citation on under CCR 102417(k) for being out of compliance with transportation requirements that vehicle occupants must be secured appropriate restraint system. During today's inspection, LPA observed the facility in compliance with capacity requirements and observed an assistant present within the home. Licensee acknowledged that she is aware of the requirement to operate within a small capacity if no assistant is present with her including while transporting. LPA verified Licensee understands capacity requirements. LPA determined the Licensee has met the plan of correction and LPA will clear the deficiency. LPA made observations of the vehicle used for transporting children and observed car seats available and installed within the van. LPA verified that the Licensee has reviewed California Car seat Laws, car seat manufacturer instructions, and reviewed her car manual for number of passenger seats available. LPA determined the Licensee has met the plan of correction and LPA will clear the deficiency. Letter of deficiencies cleared by visit was provided to the Licensee. LPA observed signed LIC 9224 (ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RECEIPT OF LICENSING REPORTS) within children's files. No deficiencies were cited based on today's inspection. Exit interview conducted and report reviewed with the licensee. A Notice of Site Visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days.
