Licensing Program Analyst Erwina Pascual-Golamco (LPA) conducted an unannounced annual inspection and met with Licensee, Tiani Fant. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. Facility hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. A health and safety inspection were conducted in areas accessible to children. Off-limit areas include: hallway closets, downstairs bedroom, kitchen/pantry, garage, the entire second floor, left and right side of yard. Licensee acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas. The stairs are fenced or barricaded. Licensee acknowledges that when children less than five years old are in care, stairs shall be fenced or barricaded. LPA observed the facility is in good repair and free of hazards with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. The facility has equipment and age-appropriate materials for children. LPA observed that there were no hazardous items\342\200\224such as cleaning compounds, medications, or sharp objects that are accessible to children. continued on LIC809-C... The 2A-10-BC fire extinguisher appeared to be in working condition and is accessible. LPA observed the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are functioning. Licensee stated there are no weapons or firearms and poisons on the premises. The backyard is fenced, and licensee acknowledged that in areas that are not fenced, 100% supervision is required. LPA observed fire drill log which was last conducted on 10/06/25. LPA reviewed sample of children\342\200\231s files and observed required documentation. LPA observed the CPR/First Aid certificate expired in July 2025. Licensee was reminded that both CPR/First Aid and MRT must be completed every two years. Licensee is aware of and practicing safe sleep regulations. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. LPA reminded licensee about the quarterly updates provided by the Childcare Advocates Program. Licensee confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS on 10/24/25.
