What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Loraine Perez met with, Licensee NICOLE NULLMEYER, for an unannounced inspection and increase in capacity inspection. Licensee has requested to increase from a small family child care home to a large family child care home. LPA observed five preschool and three school age children for a total of seven children during the visit. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. LPA verified with Licensee that her current associations are accurate. Facilities hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The home is a two story house which includes four bedrooms and three bathrooms, a kitchen, dining area, living room, family room, laundry room & garage only used when exiting the home, and fully fenced backyard. Off-limits areas include: entire second floor, and outdoor shed. Licensee understands children may never enter off-limit areas. LPA discussed CCR 102416.5 (d) which discusses the required ratios and capacity for a Large Family Child Care Home. Licensee understands that children under 10 years old that live in the home count towards total capacity. LPA discussed personnel records needed for adult and minor assistants. A health and safety inspection was conducted in the areas accessible to children. LPA observed a working telephone, functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and a 3A40BC fire extinguisher within the home. L P A observed a fireplace and stairs are barricaded to meet regulation. LPA observed the home was safe, orderly, and free of hazards. LPA observed a variety of age-appropriate toys. Licensee stated there are no firearms or bodies of water on the premises. Licensee stated there are no poisons on the premises. Licensee understands that if there are any poisons in the home, all poisons must be locked with a key lock or combination lock. LPA observed all required postings, a children's roster and fire drill log. LPA reviewed records of children\342\200\231s files and staff files, all of which contained the required documentation. Licensee has current EMSA-approved pediatric CPR/First Aid and Mandated Reporter certifications. Licensee understands both CPR and Mandated Reporter training must be completed every two years. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA reviewed with Licensee the safe sleep regulations and the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed Licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. Effective today, 02/18/2026, Licensee\342\200\231s request for a Large Family Child Care License is approved. Licensee can now provide care for 12 children (when there is an assistant present) with no more than 4 infants or capacity of 14 children when 1 child in Transitional Kindergarten or above and 1 child at least age 6 and a maximum of 3 infants. Infants are children under the age of 2 years. Licensee understands that when there is no assistant present, ratios of a small capacity must be adhered to. No Title 22 deficiencies are being cited based on today's inspection. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee NICOLE NULLMEYER . During the exit interview, Licensee NICOLE NULLMEYER confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. Notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
