What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Manager Karyn Guerra (LPM) and Licensing Program Analyst Katy Velazquez (LPA) met with Director Deborah Ochoa (D1) for the purpose of an informal office visit regarding the Happy Trails facility. Today's informal meeting was to discuss the Type A and Type B citation(s) which were issued on 11/04/2025 on both the infant and preschool licenses and the failure to correct a B citation on 12/10/2025. The Licensee stated that she have taken the following steps to maintain compliance: 1. Provided all staff with training on supervision and ratio and printed regulations for staff members 2. Purchased mattresses for all cribs 3. Removed staff and volunteers until background checks are cleared 4. Updated children's files with immunizations and physicals LPA and LPM reviewed the facility\342\200\231s file before the meeting. LPM provided information regarding the Technical Support Program (TSP), which is a non-enforcement arm of the Community Care Licensing Division offering on site support to licensees and providers. D1 accepted TSP services and LPA will refer D1 for TSP. LPA discussed using the Department website (ccld.ca.gov) for childcare updates, legislation, forms and regulation information. LPM suggested viewing informational videos. LPA reviewed the report with Director Ochoa.
