On 12/18/2025, Licensing Program Analyst Pedro Solorio-Gutierrez conducted an unannounced case management inspection to the home today. LPA met with Licensee Sonia Flores and explained the nature of today's inspection to her. Present were licensee, her husband, her adult daughter, and two daycare child \342\200\223 both preschool age. A review of staff records on 12/17/2025 indicates that all Facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Licensee Sonia Flores was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to initial presence in a Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if the regulation is violated. LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas during today's visit. Fire Safety Inspection was conducted on 11/17/2025. Hollister Fire Department approved garage conversion for daycare use. There is a new entrance/doorway to the daycare area. The backyard is accessible through a side door of the garage conversion. LPA observed a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, working smoke detector, working carbon monoxide detector, fenced backyard, and no bodies of water. Off-limit indoor: entire second floor (master bedroom with bath, three bedrooms, and a separate bathroom), main kitchen, dining room, and living room. Entire backyard is on-limits. LPA verified at least two fire exits. LPA asked if she had made any changes to the home after the fire clearance inspection, to which she answered no. LPA verified all required postings. Supervision of children was discussed with licensee and she understands that she must be present in the home during day care hours and ensure that the children are supervised at all times. Licensee understands her capacity options and she understands that she cannot have more than 14 children in the home at any time. Licensee understands if she transports children via vehicle, children cannot be left in parked vehicles unattended at any time. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee Sonia Flores. No deficiencies cited during the visit. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
