Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Samuel Lopez arrived at the facility to conduct a Case Management inspection due to the request submitted for an increase in capacity. The facility is requesting to increase the Preschool Program capacity from 27 to 30. A Fire Clearance was granted on 6/28/2022 however, documentation was not received by the Riverside Child Care Regional office until 8/1/2022. The days and hours of operation will be Monday through Friday; 7:00 am to 5:30pm. LPA Lopez toured the facility and measured the rooms that are assigned to the Preschool Program. Based on the measurements taken, the following was determined: Preschool Indoor Activity Areas LPA has determined that there is sufficient space to accommodate 34 children. Preschool Bathroom Fixtures 4 toilets x 15 = 60 children 5 sinks x 15 = 75 children Preschool Outdoor Activity Area: LPA has determined that there is sufficient space to accommodate 125 children. Limiting factor for preschool capacity is the Fire Clearance granted. Preschool capacity is limited to 30 children. LPA discussed AB 2370 and provided a copy of PIN 21-21-CCP which explains the requirement for lead testing of water. All licensed Child Care Centers operating in buildings constructed before January 1, 2010, shall test their water for lead. Also, for a license issued on or after July 1, 2022, initial testing results shall be received and posted by January 1, 2023. - Director Heather Uribe was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Request for capacity increase from 27 to 30 will be submitted approval.
