Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 02/26/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Raymond Moorehead arrived at the facility to conduct a case management visit with Jennifer Davidson, Head of School. A case management visit is being conducted in response to the receipt of an Unusual Incident Report (UIR) from the facility. The UIR was received by the licensing agency on 02/18/2025 as the incident was self-reported. The UIR documented an incident where a child reportedly made an allegation against another child in care. During today's visit, LPA investigated the incident. LPA conducted staff and child interviews. Further, documentation was obtained, observations were made, and a tour/census was taken. The following was disclosed. It was reported that the subject child reported an alleged incident to their parent/authorized representative. The concern was brought to the attention of the facility, where an internal investigation took place. During interviews conducted today, there were no conflicts or contradictions stated. Staff interviews stated that children in their class are good with communicating to their fellow peers and teachers. Staff interviews also stated that most children would "tattle tale" on other children if something happens. Further, it was stated in staff interviews that no child ever came to staff members and told them that something had happened. Staff interviews also indicated that they did not observe or hear about any type of incident happening, in regards to what the subject child had alleged. Lastly, Staff interviews disclosed that there may have been confusion or a miscommunication of words due to the subject child's story not being consistent. Based on the information obtained, there was no substantial evidence to prove that a violation of Title 22 Regulations pertaining to the reported incident occurred at this time. LPA conducted an exit interview with Jennifer Davidson, Head of School and provided a copy of this report. A Notice of Site Visit was issued and must remain posted for the next 30 days.
