What the inspector wrote

On 01/29/2024, at 11:05 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Raymond Moorehead arrived at the facility to conduct an inspection for the purpose of a Licensee Initiated Case Management. The facility is requesting a waiver that will allow for preschool children from the Preschool, Discovery, and Pre-K classrooms to utilize School-Age Classrooms and Playground. Director is requesting a wavier within the following conditions: 1.) School-Age A classroom, School-Age B Classroom, and School-Age Playground to be used during the hours of 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday through Friday. 2.) The classrooms and playground listed above will only be used when School-Age children are not present. 3.) Children from the Discovery Classroom (2s) will only use the School-Age playground, and will not use any of the classrooms listed above. LPA inspected all mentioned classrooms and outdoor play area. LPA identified that there is age appropriate equipment for the 3s (from Preschool) in the School Age A classroom. LPA also identified that there is age appropriate equipment in the School Age classroom B for the 4s (from Pre-K classroom). LPA identified that there is age appropriate play equipment for all preschoolers in the School Age play yard. The Department received a fire clearance request that was granted by Redlands Fire Department. The waiver is now pending review and approval to complete the waiver request. Upon approval, Licensee/Director will be notified and sent a letter outlining the rules of the waiver. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with the Director.
