What the inspector wrote

On April 17, 2026, the Palmdale Regional Office (PRO) received notification that on April 14, 2026, Licensee, Tina Romero was arrested by local law enforcement. Per Health and Safety Code 1597.467 (b)(1)(C)(2): (b)(1) A report shall be made to the department by telephone or fax during the department's normal business hours before the close of the next working day following the occurrence during the operation of a family day care home of any of the following events: (C) Any unusual incident or child absence that threatens the physical or emotional health or safety of any child. (2) In addition to the report required pursuant to paragraph (1), a written report shall be submitted to the department within seven days following the occurrence of any events specified in paragraph (1) . Because the Licensee did not report the above incident to the department, a Reporting Requirements violation has been issued, resulting in a Type B citation. See LIC 809-D. On 05/01/2026, a copy of this report was mailed to the Licensee, Tina Romero, at her residence.
