What the inspector wrote

On Thursday December 12, 2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA ) Braddock met with the Lead Teacher-Marlene Emlay for the purpose of obtaining a waiver for the new playground area while the old play ground is under construction until further notice. LPA toured and inspected areas according to the facility sketch. During the inspection there were 15 children present and 3 teachers. The hours of operations are 8:15am to 11:15 and 12:15am to 3:15pm. **Measurements were taken according to the facility sketch and photos were taken. New play area measurements are below. The first area is half cement and half grass. The measurements are as follows. 47ftx28ft= 1316ft/75= 24 children The second area is all cement, and the measurements are as follows: 50ftx36ft =1800ft/75= 17 children The pathway to these areas is as follows: Page 1 The children will enter through the enter campus gate from the front door and walk approximately 195ft to enter the gate for the 1 st two play areas. Additionally, the Lead teacher has requested to add third area that is not in the facility sketch. LPA informed lead teacher to update the waiver and send a new facility sketch with the third area listed. The third area is located right out the classroom door, the area is all cement and fenced in. The measurements are as follows: 32ftx33ft= 1056 ft. /75= 14 children. Per lead teacher if third area is granted, they will take the children out in groups of 8. Per lead teacher they will take toys outside for the children to play with..The toys includes soft blocks, balls, chalk, small basketball hoop and others toys outside at the beginning of playtime and bring the toys back at the end play time in a wagon. With the above measurements, the new play areas can accommodate up to 24 children at one time depending on the area that is used. An exit interview was conducted with the above items discussed and a copy of this report was provided to the Lead Teacher-Marlene Emlay and must be posted for 30days.
