What the inspector wrote

On Wednesday August 6, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA ) Braddock met with the lead teacher Marlene Emlay for the purpose of approving a newly constructed preschool play area. LPA toured and inspected areas according to the facility sketch. During the inspection there were 0 children present and 3 teachers. The hours of operations are 8:15am to 11:15 and 12:15pm to 3:15pm. The new preschool play area has a Miracle play equipment that has a posting that state "adult supervision recommended\342\200\235 with \342\200\234smart Play Rules\342\200\235. Per lead teacher, she will send the manual to LPA via email with the age requirements. The play structure includes 3 slides, multiple climbing ladder, a music area, and one swing set with 5 swings. Per lead teacher, they will inspect the swings prior to allowing children to use the swings. Currently, it is 95 degrees outside and the rubber on the swings are hot. Per lead teacher, they will ensure that the children are dressed appropriately to utilize the swings. The play equipment is placed under a 2 tarps to provide shade with wood chips, concrete and grass area for active play. Per Lead teacher, each class will utilize the play area on a scheduled time. Upon reviewing the play area, it is deemed safe, and all equipment is anchored to the ground. The children will able to utilize the new equipment after this visit. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. The On Duty Worker is available for questions at (661) 202-3318 Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with lead teacher Marlene Emlay. This report was read and provided to the lead teacher, along with her appeal rights and Notice of Site Visit.
