Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Thompson-Miller conducted an unannounced complaint inspection for the purpose of delivering finding for the above allegations and met with Director, Melissa Moon. There are 96 children and 13 staff along with the Director present. A tour of the center was provided, interviews were conducted with staff, parents and children which determined the following allegation findings. Allegation #1: LPA determined staff can use cell phone during nap time and breaks. No cell phone usage is allowed during daily activity times as the staff supervise children in care. Allegation #4: LPA determined the children have an individual cubby. Very few children share which only occurs for children with alternative day schedule (MTW or ThF) and depending on the classroom size. There is not enough evidence or witnesses to substantiate, therefore, allegations are rendered Unsubstantiated at this time. A finding that the complaint is Unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged allegation occurred. At this time LPA unable to make a determination that any violation(s) occurred. An exit interview was conducted, a copy of this report was read and provided to the Director, Melissa Moon on this date.
