Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Eric Ramos and Perla Ordones conducted an annual inspection as part of a compliance review. A tour of the inside and outside of the facility was granted and the following was observed and/or noted: \302\267 The following were posted and are updated where necessary: - License - Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC610) and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist (LIC9148) - Parent\342\200\231s Rights Poster (PUB393) - Personal Rights (LIC613A) - Child Car Seat Law - Menu. LPAs advised Assistant Director of menu regulations in regards to snacks. \302\267 The facility is operating with the limits as stated on the license. \302\267 Ratios are being met during this inspection. \302\267 Classrooms are adequately equipped with age and size appropriate furniture and equipment and are free of hazards. \302\267 There are no weapons present at the facility as stated by Assistant Director Amanda Alonso. \302\267 There are no accessible bodies of water present. All wading pools or similar products must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position. \302\267 Drinking water is provided in the indoor/ outdoor activity space by refillable water bottles that are brought from their home. In addition, classrooms have water jugs and mini water bottles to provide to day care children. \302\267 Medications are stored where inaccessible to children in the main office. \302\267 Poisons and toxins are not locked. During facility tour, LPAs observed in each classroom underneath the sink, poisons/toxins that were not in a key locked. Assistant Director Amanda Alonso removed poisons/toxins and placed them in a key locked area during the visit. \302\267All floors are clean and safe. \302\267 Bathrooms were observed to be safe, sanitary and in operating condition. \302\267 Playgrounds are enclosed by appropriate fencing and free of hazards. \302\267 Outdoor activity areas are supplied with age and size appropriate equipment in good condition. \302\267 The areas around or under high climbing equipment, swings, slides, and similar equipment have sand that absorbs falls. \302\267 Per Assistant Director Amanda Alonso, children bring their own food from home. Classrooms provide packaged snacks, water, and milk only. \302\267 Menus shall be posted at least one week in advance in a place visible by the child\342\200\231s authorized representative, dated and kept on file for 30 days, and made available upon request. \302\267 Sign in/Sign out record was reviewed and meets regulation requirements. \302\267 Disaster drills are conducted at least every six months \342\200\223 last drill conducted on 01/08/25. A review of staff and children's records were conducted as part of this evaluation. \302\267 The director is asked to update the following documents, if applicable, and submit to licensing within 30 days: 1.LIC 500 Personnel Report 2.LIC 610 Emergency & Disaster Plan 3.Parent Handbook/ Program Curriculum/Admission policies and procedures/ fee schedule. 4.LIC 309 Administrative Organization. 5.LIC 308 Designation of Administrative Responsibility. \302\267 Children\342\200\231s records were found to be complete during this inspection. \302\267 A Staff member is present with current Pediatric CPR/First Aid which expires on 01/2027. \302\267 Opening and closing staff member\342\200\231s CPR/First Aid expires on 01/2027. \302\267 Director completed Health and Safety Training on 04/05/2009. \302\267 A review of staff records indicates that all staff present meet minimum qualifications for the position for which they were hired. \302\267 A review of staff records on 01/20/2025 indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance with the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP. The following items were discussed with the Assistant Director during inspection: This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. LPAs reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. The Licensee was informed of their reporting requirements and provided with the Regional Office\342\200\231s Unusual Incident Reporting email mailbox: UnusualIncidentReportsDO09@dss.ca.gov The Licensee can submit transfer forms to associate new individuals or to disassociate someone from their facility at: Associations_Disassociations862@dss.ca.gov LPAs discussed the safe sleep regulations with Assistant Director and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep web page at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPAs also informed Assistant Director of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Assistant Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
