On 11/20/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Crystal Ali conducted an unannounced annual random inspection. The LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry by licensee. The Licensee guided the LPA on a tour of the home. Upon entry to the facility, the LPA observe 3 daycare children in care and licensee. All adults in the have an approved criminal record clearance. This is a large family childcare home. The operational childcare hours are Monday through Sunday, 23 hours per day. Staffing Ration and Capacity: This is a one-story family home. There is an office, dining room, living room, family room, kitchen, three bedrooms, 2 \302\275 bathrooms, backyard, laundry area, and garage. The off-limits areas are kitchen, family room, all bedrooms, two bathrooms, laundry area, and garage. There are no bodies of water, no smoking, no weapons on the premises. Physical Plant: The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. The daycare areas are living room, dining room, office, \302\275 bathroom, and backyard. Licensee does provide food and beverages for children. License is enrolled in the food program. Licensee states they came out last in 9/2025. There are no pets in the home. Licensee utilizes her landline phone for day care business. There are age-appropriate toys and equipment on the premises. LPA observed age-appropriate furniture, toys, and books for the children. LPA observed the following items in the daycare areas: child size table (seat 8), changing table, one highchair, three play pens, baby swing, three individual desks, cubbies for each child belongings, portable sink, mini refrigerator, staff desk, and book shelfs with toys. All unused electrical outlets are covered in all daycare areas. There are blind cords in the daycare areas inaccessible to children. The First Aid kit included a temperature thermometer, tweezer, scissors, gauzes, and cleansing pads/solution was observed to be complete and inaccessible to children in cabinet on the wall in the office room. Fireplace is located in the family room. The fireplace has a glass cover door making it inaccessible to children. Napping: Children are provided napping when needed. LPA observed several mats and three play pens. Licensee states she provides napping materials and cleans napping materials weekly or more if needed. The isolation area is in the office on mat until the parent can pick up the child. Transportation: Licensee states with the current children enrolled she has not been transporting children. However, licensee states can provide transportation for her daycare program. LPA observed transportation authorized form in child file. LPA observed a valid California driver license, car insurance, and car registration. Kitchen: Licensee states the kitchen is normally off limits by safety gate. Licensee states renovations are currently happening. LPA observed a safety gate in the box (in living room) and the kitchen bottom cabinets missing. Licensee has a table to help with preparing food. All appliances work in the kitchen. LPA observed nothing hazardous in the kitchen. Licensee states once renovations are completed, she will place safety gate back up. Knives are kept in the kitchen above the microwave, inaccessible to children. Medication is kept in cabinet with first aid kit (locked), inaccessible to children by safety gate. Licensee states no children on medication. There are no children with food allergies. Cleaning supplies and chemicals are kept above the oven and in laundry room inaccessible to children. LPA observed in the refrigerator and pantry plenty of food and snacks. LPA observe no hazardous areas in the kitchen. Fire Extinguisher: The required fire extinguisher (2A10BC) is reading in green and is located under the sink in the kitchen inaccessible to children by safety latch. Smoke and carbon monoxide dual detectors were found to be in compliance per fire marshal standards. Licensee states the last time she recalls fire marshall coming to the home was in before Covid19. Fire and Disaster drills are conducted at least every six-months, the last fire drill on record is 6/24/25. Bathroom: The daycare bathroom is located down the hallway first door on left. The bathroom has 1 sink, 1 toilet, and a tub/shower. Bathroom is clean and in good repair. LPA observed a potty-training toilet. Outdoor Space Activity: The outdoor area is the backyard. LPA observed several tricycles, toys for the children, covered a/c unit. LPA also observed the large trailer (approximately 32 ft) and one vehicle on the side of the home. Licensee states no body lives in the trailer. Records/Documentation: LPA reviewed with facility representative the LIC 126, records to be maintained at the facility, for child\342\200\231s records, personnel records, administrative records, and parent board. Licensee was able to provide a valid Pediatric CPR/First Aid training, expired 11/15/26. Child Care Provider Mandated Reporter Training Certificate has been completed expires 11/15/26. Licensee records are complete. Children\342\200\231s records file (1) are complete. Licensee had all the required posted documents: Facility License (LIC 203A), Notice of Parent's Rights Poster (PUB 394), Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC 610A), and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist (LIC 9148). Criminal Record Clearance - Family Child Care Homes Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Safe Sleep - Family Child Care Homes LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Megan\342\200\231s Law - Family Child Care Homes During the exit interview, the Licensee, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. No deficiencies cited in accordance with Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations and/or Health & Safety codes. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
