What Happened
Unannounced Annual Random inspection of large family childcare home. Multiple compliance issues identified: chemical accessibility, outdated fire extinguisher service, incomplete staff records, and playground equipment concerns.
Observations
- Chemicals under kitchen sink accessible despite safety latch - LPA able to reach inside to access chemicals
- Fire extinguisher last serviced June 2023 - needs updating
- Mandated reporter training not current for all staff in files
- CPR/First Aid not current for all staff in files
- Immunizations not current for all staff in files
- Swing/slide set wobbly to touch - anchoring needs verification
- Two AC units in yard observed uncovered
