What the inspector wrote

On 05/03/23 License Program Analyst (LPA) Babatunde Ibitoye conducted an unannounced inspection at the Figueroa De Garcia Family Child Care to continue to assess the Child Care operation. Also, to evaluate the facility\342\200\231s continuing ability to meet compliance with California Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 22, Health and Safety requirements, and other applicable State and Licensing Statutory requirements. The LPA met with the Licensee, Irma Figueroa, and stated the purpose of the inspection. The LPA conducted a review of the home to ensure the health and safety of children in the care and more in particular with children\342\200\231s personal rights are protected. During today\342\200\231s inspection, LPA observed Licensee\342\200\231s family dog is Inaccessible to day-care children. The Licensee\342\200\231s dog remains in the dog kennel located in the backyard.Per Licensee she will give the dog away in 5 days time. Licensee has completed 8 hours of the Preventative Health and Safety course, Licensee has completed in-person orientation in Spanish in Palmdale Regional Office, Licensee has completed a class on pet safety around children.The licensee has submitted proof of completion of the above requirements. During today's inspection, the LPA observed no deficiencies that may hinder the health and safety of the children in care. Therefore, no deficiencies were cited. Notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. An exit interview was conducted and the report was reviewed with the licensee Irma Figueroa
