On 09/29/2021 at 1:00pm, an Informal Conference was held at the Riverside Regional Office. Present in the conference were Director Vanessa Stewart; Campus Director, Sharon Stewart; Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Kimberly Williams; and Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Destinee Hogue and Kim Leung. The conference was called to discuss the following areas of concern: - Criminal Record Clearances - Personnel Requirements - Buildings and Grounds - Accessible Hazards - Health Related Services - IMS - Limitations on Capacity - Mandated Reporter Training (AB1207) - Fixtures, Furniture, Equipment and Supplies Advisory Notes-Technical Violation and Advisory Notes-Technical Assistance were issued on September 07, 2021 and were also reviewed during this conference. Director and Campus Director agrees to submit the following items by the deadlines identified below: 1) New written procedures outlining the facility's plan for children who require an Incidental Medical Service on file. Facility's written procedures shall be submitted by October 6, 2021. 2) Written plan detailing the facility's plan on how hazardous items such as; poisons, toxins, cleaning compounds, and other items will be locked and made inaccessible to children in care shall be submitted by October 6, 2021. 3) Update regarding installation of window screens on the upstairs preschool classrooms by October 6, 2021. 4) Written statement requesting a waiver to share outdoor activity space with Preschool, Toddler option, and School-Age program by October 6, 2021. Outdoor waiver request must include an outdoor activity schedule for Preschool, Toddler option, and School-Age program. 5) Submit proof of completed AB1207-Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training for staff by October 13, 2021 6) Submit proof of health screening (LIC503) for staff by October 13, 2021 7) Submit transcripts and/or course descriptions, to identify qualifications for fully qualified teachers for the Preschool and Toddler Option Programs by October 13, 2021. 8) Submit an updated LIC500-Personnel Report by October 13, 2021 9) Agrees to complete Child Care Center Operations and Record Keeping (Component III) by October 6, 2021. During today's conference, the following documents were discussed and provided to Director and Campus Director: Provider Information Notice (PIN) 20-20-CCLD, Guardian User Account Access; 101214 Accountability; 101216 Personnel Requirements; 101170 Criminal Record Clearance; 101238 Buildings and Grounds; 101226 Health-Related Services; 101161 Limitations on Capacity; 101239 Fixtures, Furniture, Equipment and Supplies; 101216.1 Teacher Qualifications and Duties; LIC9221 Parent Consent for Administration of Medications and Medication Chart; and LIC859 Review of Staff/Volunteer Records Director and Campus Director was advised to visit the Department's website at: https://cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/resources-for-providers on a regular basis for licensing updates. Director and Licensee was advised to review Child Care Provider videos related to Child Care Reporting Requirements, Community Care Licensing Inspection Authority, Background Check Requirements for Caregivers, Teacher to Child Ratios in Child Care Centers, Locks and Inaccessibility in Child Care, Child Care Provider video website link was provided to the Director/Licensee during this conference. Director and Campus Director was advised to participate in the next Local Licensing Call. Director and Licensee was advised to register and review Provider Information Notices (PIN) which details when the next Local Licensing Call will be held. At the time of this conference, the October Local Licensing Call PIN has not been released. Prior to approving the capacity increase, the licensee understands and agrees that an assessment of substantiated compliance must be determined by the Department. - The Licensee can submit transfer forms to associate new individuals or to disassociate someone from your facility at: Associations_Disassociations862@dss.ca.gov . - The Licensee was informed of their reporting requirements and is provided with the Regional Office\342\200\231s Unusual Incident Reporting email mailbox: UnusualIncidentReportsDO09@dss.ca.gov - The Duty Officer is available to answer questions Monday \342\200\223 Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm at (951)782-4200 During this inspection, contact information of the local Resource and Referral Agency, Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) at (909) 890-0018, was provided to the Director. Director/Licensee agrees to ensure that the facility is operating in substantial compliance of California Code of Regulations Title 22, Division 12. An exit interview was conducted with Director Vanessa Stewart and Head of Campus/Licensee, Sharon Stewart.
