The facility also has a preschool license with an attached toddler option component. There will be no changes to the preschool license or the toddler option component. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director Vanessa Stewart and Sharon Stewart Administrator. Hours of operation will be Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:30pm. Present during today\342\200\231s inspection were 21 children with 4 staff. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Vanessa Stewart that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities. LPA continued to tour the facility and measured new additional indoor space. The outdoor activity space has been previously measured, no changes to the outdoor space. Currently there is a waiver on file for the school-age children to share the preschool playground using a time schedule. Total indoor activity space measured 2988.67 , which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 70 children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via children's own water bottles, bottles are refilled using filtered water. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. Fire clearance was granted on 08/05/2024. LPA observed a total of 7 sinks and 5 toilets available for children\342\200\231s use. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 70 children. The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area. Fencing concrete wall and chain link is at least four feet high. The total square footage for all the outdoor activity space is 1736.00, which is not sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. An updated waiver is needed to reflect the new increase requested capacity. A playground waiver to share the playground with the preschool children using it at different times in the AM and PM due to limited square footage shall be submitted and approved prior to the increase of capacity. Shade is provided via a large umbrella, wind sail, and building. There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playground. There is a climbing structure on the playground which is age appropriate and properly anchored. There is adequate cushioning in fall zones of climber provided by wood chips. Drinking water is available via children's personal water bottles. The facility has paper cups and extra water bottles or children if needed. LPA observed all hazardous items on the playground to be inaccessible to children. Director Vanessa Stewart was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing. An increase of capacity license from 24 to 70 children will be granted upon a final file review and an approved granted shared playground waiver. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Director Vanessa Stewart and Sharon Stewart, Administration.
