What Happened
A tele-inspection for a capacity increase reviewed the home and records, and found several compliance items along with multiple deficiencies. The most notable concerns were expired staff CPR/first aid, incomplete roster and fire drill documentation, and missing caregiver background clearances.
Observations
- Pediatric CPR/first aid and mandated reporter training were expired
- Current roster was incomplete and fire drill documentation was missing
- Required caregiver background clearances were not all in place

Operation of a Family Child Care Home 102417 (g)(9)(A) Each family child care home shall conduct fire drills and disaster drills at least once every six months. Based on the interview and record review, the Licensee did not meet the Operation of a Family Child Care regulation which poses an potential Health, Safety & Personal Rights risk to the children in care. Licensee stated she does not have a fire drill available for review.

Based on the interview and record review, the Licensee did not meet Personnel Requirements regulation which poses a potential Health, Safety & Personal Rights risk to the children in care. Licensee stated her assistants and herself do not have updated CPR/First Aid certifcates available.
