What the inspector wrote

On 02/15/2024 at 11:50 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Raymond Moorehead arrived at the facility to conduct a Case Management visit for the purpose of a capacity increase. Present during this inspection was Licensee, Jaden Harney. LPA toured the facility, inside and out and the following was observed and/or discussed: N ormal days and hours of operation are: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM OFF-LIMIT AREAS INCLUDE: Living room, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sitting room, kitchen, garage, guest house, the left side unfenced grass area and rear backyard. \302\267 Appropriate fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector are present and were tested by the licensee during this inspection. Fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector are in working order. \302\267 All hazardous items are made inaccessible \302\267 Toxins are locked \302\267 No guns or weapons present as of this date, per licensee. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations. \302\267 There are no stairs present in the home \302\267 Fireplace is present in the home, in off-limits area where children do not have access \302\267 Storage of poisons are inaccessible to children \302\267 Proof of control of property is on file. \302\267 Children and personnel files were in compliance as of the facility's last annual visit on 07/20/2023. \302\267 The Facility Sketch and Emergency Disaster Plan are both posted \302\267 Pediatric CPR and First Aid Card expires on 07/2024. \302\267Mandated Reporter Training Certificate expires on 12/02/2024 \302\267 Health & Safety Certificate - completed on 01/20/2019 \302\267 Fire clearance was granted on 01/04/2024 \302\267 Last disaster/fire drill was conducted on 01/10/2024 \302\267 Clean, safe and age-appropriate toys are present during today's visit \302\267 There were no toxic plants observed at this time Licensee has a above-ground jacuzzi in the off-limits area of the backyard. LPA inspected the above-ground jacuzzi, and it was properly covered per Title 22 Regulations. Further, Licensee understands all bodies of water including ponds, above ground pools & spas, in-ground pools & spas, and some fountains must be properly covered or fenced per Title 22 Regulations. The Department must be notified before and after installation of the above types of bodies of water. In addition, all wading pools or similar product must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position. LPA went over the capacity regulations for a large family child care home with Licensee Jaden Harney and provided licensee with a copy of the capacity regulations diagram. Upon final review, the application for a Large Family Child Care Home will be submitted for approval with a maximum capacity of 14 with parent notification. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee, Jaden Harney.
