Based on the observation, the Licensee did not meet the above regulation which poses an immediate Health & Safety Rights risk to the children in care. During the facility tour of the preschool program the LPA observed hazardous items accessible to the children in care including medication located in a staff purse on the counter. Additionally, the LPA observed an excess amount of medication stored in an unlocked cabinet. Items were removed during inspection.

Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above, the preschool classroom had an unlocked drawer, drawer contained 3 screwdrivers, bolts, and a knife. Also observed under the sink was bottle Odo Ban, which is a cleaning agent which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Fixtures, Furniture, Equipment and SuppliesFurniture and equipment shall be maintained in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts this requirement was not met as evidenced by LPAs observed the sllide in the preschool playground was cracked ant the bottom of the slide. this is a potential hazard for the children in care.
