Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rachel Zeron made an unannounced visit to conclude a complaint that was initiated on 08/01/2024. LPA met with Leiann Fabian, Director and Natasha Abuata, Executive Director. A census was taken, and the facility was toured. LPA indicated the reason for the visit was to conclude the complaint investigation. It was alleged that staff handles infants in a rough manner. The complaint alleges that a staff #1 (S1) had became extremely rough with an infant in the infant classroom. This staff grabbed the infant and slammed them onto a newborn lounger pillow. LPA interviewed pertinent individuals regarding the allegation, interviews revealed that the alleged staff (S1) is well liked and only positive feedback was given in regards to S1's care and supervision in the infant room. Therefore, due to conflicting information found throughout this investigation this agency has investigated the complaint alleging: Staff handles infants in a rough manner. Although the allegation may have happened, or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED at this time An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was provided to Leiann Fabian, Director and Executive Director, Natasha Abuata. Notice of site visit was issued and Director agreed to post the notice for the next 30 days.
