What the inspector wrote

On date and time listed above, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Justin Giese made an unannounced visit to the facility for the purpose of inspecting/clearing Deficiencies issued on 02/26/2025. LPA was granted entry by Licensee, Jasmine Choto. The following was observed and discussed: At time of visit, 8 children were in care. The Licensee was issued deficiencies and pending proof of corrections for the following items: 1. A life ring with a minimum exterior diameter of 17 inches and labeled as approved by the United States Coast Guard. 2. A rescue pole with a body hook and minimum fixed length of 12 feet 3. A pool alarm that will sound upon detecting an entrance into the water and must be turned on and be in working condition during the FCCH\342\200\231s operating hours while the swimming pool is not in use. The alarm must meet the ASTM International Standard F2208. 4. Log of daily tests for functionality of pool alarm. LPA toured the facility inside and out and observed the in ground pool to be enclosed by a 5 foot tall mesh fence with a self closing self latching gate that swings away from the pool. LPA did not observe the above listed equipment to be present at the facility. Licensee stated they have yet to acquire the above listed equipment and understand their deficiencies are outstanding and they continue to be out of compliance. Licensee understands that repeat violations will be issued and civil penalties assessed if the pool safety equipment is not acquired on or before 10/03/2025. LPA will make another unannounced visit to assure the pool safety equipment is available and functioning at the facility. Additionally, Licensee was issued Technical violations on 02/26/2025 for the following items: 1. Current CPR/First Aide card not present 2. Current Mandated Reporter Certificate present 3. Current fire/earthquake drill conducted within the last 6 months Based on Licensee's own admission, These items have not been acquired/updated or made available for LPA to observe during today's visit. The Licensee will be issued Type B deficiencies for the above listed items. Please see LIC809D An exit interview was conducted, appeal rights and report was reviewed with Licensee, Jasmine Choto. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days
