What the inspector wrote

On 01/24/2025 at 11:15 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Raymond Moorehead arrived at the facility to conduct a Case Management visit for the purpose of a capacity increase. Present during this inspection was Licensee, Ameneh Asakereh. LPA toured the facility, inside and out and the following was observed and/or discussed: Normal days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. OFF-LIMIT AREAS INCLUDE: Master bedroom and master bathroom. Please note that the facility will share the backyard with the residents from Unit #1 (main house). In the back yard, the child care area is surrounded by a white picket fence. The fence separates the children from the rest of the backyard. \302\267 Appropriate fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector are present and were tested by the licensee during this inspection. Fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector are in working order. \302\267 All hazardous items are made inaccessible \302\267 Toxins are locked \302\267 Weapons are not present/stored in the home, according to Licensee. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations. \302\267 No fireplace was observed during today's visit. \302\267 Storage of poisons are inaccessible to children \302\267 Proof of control of property is on file. \302\267 Facility Sketch and Emergency Disaster Plan are both posted \302\267 Pediatric CPR and First Aid training was completed on 10/14/2023 and expires on 10/2025. \302\267 Mandated Reporter Training was completed on 02/08/2024 and expires on 02/08/2026. \302\267 Preventative Health & Safety Practices training was completed on completed on 03/14/2017 with the Lead component completed on 01/13/2021. \302\267 Initial fire inspection was conducted on 12/20/2024. Corrections were verified during a follow up fire inspection on 01/17/2025. The fire clearance was granted on 01/17/2025. \302\267 Last fire/earthquake drill was conducted on 09/20/2024. Drills are to be conducted no later than every 6 months. \302\267 Clean, safe and age-appropriate toys are present \302\267 There are no toxic plants were observed at this time No bodies of water are present at this time. Licensee understands all bodies of water including ponds, above ground pools & spas, in-ground pools & spas, and some fountains must be properly covered or fenced per Title 22 Regulations. The Department must be notified before and after installation of the above types of bodies of water. In addition, all wading pools or similar product must be emptied immediately after use and stored in an upright position. LPA went over the capacity regulations for a large family child care home with Licensee Ameneh Asakereh and provided licensee with a copy of the capacity regulations diagram. Upon final review, the application for a Large Family Child Care Home will be submitted for approval with a maximum capacity of 14 with parent notification. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee, Ameneh Asakereh. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
