What the inspector wrote

On date and time listed, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Eric Ramos arrived at the facility to conduct a plan of correction(s) visit regarding the pre-licensing inspection that was conducted on 08/14/2025. Present in the home during this inspection were Gisela Amado and Enrique Munoz (friend). LPA toured the facility, inside and out and the following was observed and/or discussed: The following plan of correction(s) were reviewed during today's inspection: - Applicant updated facility sketches and included 2nd floor layout. In the facility sketches, the following were include: Off limit areas of the home, exits, windows, label rooms/bathrooms and sizes of all rooms. - Door knobs were placed on bathroom doors, supply closets and bedroom doors with key locks to prevent access to hazardous items/poisons/toxins and off limit areas. - Paint bottles with "keep out of reach" and "call poison control" labels were moved to an inaccessible area in the home. - Stairs are barricaded. - Playground in the backyard is clean and safe - removed spider webs, wasp nests, tools and debris. Applicant was reminded to inspect the playground area to ensure cleanliness and safeness before children going out. - Pool alarm is operable and tested by Applicant Gisela Amado. - All accessible hazardous items were removed to an inaccessible/off limit area in the home. - All accessible medication, poisons/toxins were moved to a key locked area in the home. - Fire clearance approved on 05/06/2025. - Applicant did not provide proof of one year of experience as an administrator or director of or as a teacher at, a licensed child care center. Applicant does not meet the qualifications described previously to be licensed as a large. Applicant stated she understands she can apply for a Large Family Child Care after operating for a year minimum as a Small Family Child Care. - All sharp objects, chemicals/cleaners, batteries, alcohol, and knives were made inaccessible in the kitchen area. - Vertical clearance of two inches for pool door was met. The vertical clearance of the pool gate from the ground to the bottom of the enclosure measures 2 inches. All corrections have been verified, the application for a Small Family Child Care Home will be submitted for approval with a maximum capacity of 6, or 8 with parent notification. Applicant understands that authorized representative(s) need to fill out the Parent Notification Additional Children in Care (LIC9150) and keep in each child's file. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with applicant Gisela Amado.
