What the inspector wrote

On 08/06/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hanna Cha met with licensee, Brittany Harris. The purpose of the inspection was to conduct an unannounced case management inspection for Unusual Incident Reports (UIRs) received at Palmdale Regional Office on 04/01/25, 04/03/25, 04/04/25, 04/28/25, 05/29/25, 06/01/25. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection to the licensee. Upon arrival, LPA observed licensee providing care and supervision for one infant, two preschool-aged children and one school-aged child. At end of inspection, seven children present. The days and hours of operation for the facility are Mondays through Sundays from 5:30am-4:30am. LPA reminded licensee that licensee must always remain awake when children are awake. The UIRs received were in regards to licensee receiving allegation of smoking, Child #2 receiving injury on swings, licensee being followed closely while transporting Child #1, Child #2 tantrum incident at facility, Child #5 tantrum incident at facility, and Child #5 yelling at licensee. LPA received a copy of the roster, interviewed licensee, and conducted children interviews. LPA completed a safety inspection of the facility at approximately 10:30 am. No safety concerns observed. Based on LPA observations, no further investigation needed. A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview was conducted and the report was reviewed with the licensee, Brittany Harris.
