On January 21, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hanna Cha met with Licensee Lanre Orepo Oluranti. The purpose of the visit was to conduct an unannounced Annual/Random inspection of the facility. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection to the licensee. LPA observed licensee and assistant providing care and supervision to two infants and nine preschool-aged children. The current hours and days of operation are Mondays through Fridays; 6:00am-6:00pm. Physical Plant: This is a two-story home with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen, living room, family room, garage, side yard, and backyard. Main child care is provided in the family room, living room, bedroom #1, bathroom #1, and backyard. The off-limit areas are the entire second floor (three bedrooms, two bathrooms, garage, kitchen, and side yard. Indoor/Children\342\200\231s Area: LPA inspected the indoor/children\342\200\231s area for safety, cleanliness and good repair. LPA observed and tested the carbon monoxide and smoke alarm. LPA observed the fire extinguisher (2A10BC), fully green and the First Aid Kit. Per licensee, there are no firearms/weapons on the premises. Per Licensee, there is no smoking in the home. LPA did not observe any pets at the facility. The fireplace is barricaded by a large play structure. Per licensee, fireplace is not used. LPA observed preschool children provided with cots and infants with cribs for napping. Bathroom: LPA observed the childcare bathroom. The toilet and faucet are in good operable condition. LPA reminded licensee to keep all hazardous items inaccessible to children. Kitchen: LPA inspected the kitchen for safety, sanitation, and good repair. Licensee participates in the food program and provides all meals during operational hours. LPA observed the refrigerator and freezer in working condition. The knives and sharp items stored in kitchen cabinet. The kitchen made inaccessible by a child safety gate. Outdoor/Children\342\200\231s Play Area: The children utilize the back yard for outdoor play. The back yard was observed for safety, good repair, age-appropriate toys/equipment, and shady areas. Per LPA observation and licensee, there are no pools/spas/bodies of water on premises. File Review: LPA reviewed Licensee\342\200\231s file which included all required documents. LPA verified the background clearance of all adults present. LPA reviewed two children files which had all required documentation. LPA verified infant safe sleep logs and Individual Infant Sleeping Plan. Licensee CPR/FA expires 08/2026 and Mandated Reporter training expires 07/2027. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Any duly authorized officer, employee, or agent of the Department shall, upon presentation of proper identification, shall inspect the facility. The Licensee shall permit the Department to inspect the family childcare home, and to privately interview children or staff, to determine compliance with or to prevent violations of family child care laws or regulations. Also, to enter and inspect any place providing personal care, supervision and services at any time, with or without advance notice, to secure compliance with, or to prevent a violation. Licensee advised of the requirement to report Unusual Incidents. Licensee informed to utilize the Unusual Incident Report/Injury Report (LIC624B) when submitting a report to the department at: www.unusualincidentreport@dss.ca.gov . A report shall be made to the department by telephone or fax during the department's normal business hours before the close of the next working day following the occurrence during the operation of family day care home. In addition, a written report shall be submitted to the department within seven (7) days following the occurrence of any events specified above. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for and removing any recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. During the exit interview, the licensee Lanre Orepo Oluranti confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. During this inspection, no Title 22 deficiencies observed. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
