On Thursday November 20, 2025, at 4:10pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Giovanni Cristales conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection to Abundance of Joy Child Development Center. LPA met with lead teacher Aujanae Bradford, who verified a census of 2 preschool-age children with 2 staff present on this day. The purpose of the inspection was to address a finding identified through confidential interviews. Interviews revealed that the Licensee permitted minors to provide care and supervision to day-care children. Staff confirmed that the Licensee allowed two underage grandchildren to assist preschool teachers with the supervision of children inside the classrooms. The minors were under 18 years of age, were not enrolled in the day-care program, and were not participating in any accredited high school or college occupational training program. A type B citation issued on LIC 809D for the Licensee allows minors to assist with the care and supervision of day care children. An exit interview was conducted, a copy of this report and appeal rights were reviewed with facility lead teacher Aujanae Bradford. Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.
