What the inspector wrote

On August 5, 2025 at 1:13pm., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Zirbes met with the Facility Representative Liliana Velasquez. The purpose of the inspection was to conduct the unannounced Plan of Correction inspection. When LPA arrived there were five napping toddler and eight napping preschool children in care with three staff members on site. At approximately 1:15pm, LPA completed a tour of the preschool classroom during nap time . LPA observed string lights have been added to the Grand Hall preschool classroom which allow the staff to visually supervise the children during nap time. LPA observed staff 1 (S1) was walking around and providing active supervision during nap time. LPA completed a tour of the toddler classroom and observed a fully qualified teacher, staff 2 (S2) providing supervising to four napping toddlers and one awake toddler. Per LPA safety check poisons and cleaning products were stored in areas inaccessible to the children in care. During this inspection, LPA observed the sign in sheet for the staff training completed on July 25, 2025. Training was conducted on the following topics: 1. Teacher/Child ratios. 2. Supervision requirements for aides verses teachers. 3. Teacher verses aide qualifications 4. Instructions for nap time which include turning on all night lights 5. Ensuring cleaning products and chemical are locked and or inaccessible. Based on LPA observations and record review the citations issued on July 9 and July 10, 2025 have been corrected. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the facility representative Liliana Velasquez. Appeal rights were provided.
