Correction check·March 20, 2024

On 3/20/2024 at 9:46am, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Vicky Williamson and Angela Nguyen conducted an unannounced Plan of Correction (POC) inspection. The purpose of this inspection is to ensure citations issued during a case management inspection on 3/13/2024 were corrected. Upon arrival, LPAs met with Director, Delia Salcido and was led on a tour of the facility. There were 62 children present with nine (9) staff member. Interviews were conducted with director and staff member. Director stated that staff were retrained and the training provided to staff included transitions, counting the number of children, name to face procedures and utilizing the transition checklists. Staff members explained to LPAs on how the supervision protocol are utilized at the facility. Staff members stated that the name to face procedures and counting the number of children will be conducted before and after nap transition. Staff members stated that all procedures are also conducted before and after leaving the playground with the children. Director submitted summary of training and staff sign in/sign out sheets to San Diego Regional Office (SDRO) on 3/18/2024. LPA cleared citation during the time of inspection. No deficiencies cited. A copy of this report along with the Appeals Rights. A Notice of Site Visit was provided and is required to be posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. LPA observed director post Notice of Site Visit on the bulletin board.
