What the inspector wrote

On 3/13/2024 at 3:55pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Vicky Williamson and Angela Nguyen conducted an unannounced plan of correction (POC) inspection and to deliver an amended report originally created on 3/6/2024. The purpose of this inspection is to ensure that a citation issued during a complaint inspection on 3/6/2024 is corrected. LPAs met with Assistant Director, Nancy Betancourt and was led on a tour of the facility. There were 44 children observed on the playground with five (5) staff members. Interviews were conducted with the director, assistant director, and staff. Director, Amy Fagan stated that a plan and staff schedule was implemented to ensure that commingling of preschool and school age children will not occur at the facility. Director stated that the school age children will remain on the fireside of the facility during operating hours with the school age staff. Director stated that there are four closing staff, two staff located in the educational building and two staff on the fireside of the facility. Staff acknowledged that they are aware of the new procedures and that commingling ceased on 12/21/2024. Director, Amy Fagan submitted a plan of correction and staff schedule to the San Diego Regional Office on 3/6/2024. LPA cleared citation during time of inspection. An amended complaint report was delivered to reflect corrections to Title 22 regulations noted on original report dated 3/6/2024. The amended report reflects Title 22 Regulations Indoor Activity Space for School - Age Children 101538.3(b). No deficiencies cited during today’s inspection. Exit interview was conducted with Assistant Director,Nancy Betancourt and a copy of this report, Appeal Rights and Notice of Site Visit were provided. Notice of Site Visit is required to be posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
