What the inspector wrote

***This is an amended version of original report dated 01/08/2025*** On 01/08/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Dana Stevens conducted an unannounced complaint inspection to deliver findings for the above allegation. LPA met with Director Elizabeth Cortese and informed her of the reason for the visit. There were 61 children present with 17 staff members. During the investigation LPA conducted three unannounced inspections of the facility, interviewed Director, teachers, daycare children, daycare parents, and reviewed facility records. Based on Information obtained in interviews and LPA observation, toddlers were served hot dogs cut in half, which is a potential choking hazard, thus this allegation is deemed Substantiated. Deficiencies cited on the attached LIC 9099D The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) is to be posted for thirty (30) days. An exit interview was conducted. Licensee Rights (LIC 9098 01/16) along with a copy of this report was provided to staff; their signature on this form confirms receipt of these rights.
