Facility-requested visit·September 30, 2025

On 9/30/25 at 8:41 am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Renita Rodriguez conducted an announced case management inspection initiated by the facility for a room change and change of capacity. The capacity decrease requested is from 68 to 64. Upon arrival, LPA met with Preschool Operations Supervisor, Christine Kutzner. This preschool program is located on Valley Elementary School in the Poway Unified Elementary (Unified San Diego School District) campus. Program operates from 8:00 a.m to 11:45 a.m. Ratios observed 28 children and 7 staff. The inspection completed today is for a room change from rooms PS 2, PS 7, and PS 9 into rooms PS 1, PS 2 and PS 9. PS 1 has 1 toilet and 2 sinks (1 sink located in classroom area). PS 2 has 2 toilets and 3 sinks (1 sink located in classroom area). PS 9 has 1 toilet and 2 sinks (1 sink located in classroom area). Fire department granted clearance for capacity of 20 in PS 1, 20 for PS 2, and 24 for PS 9. LPA observed sufficient cabinets and storage for the supplies that will be utilized by the children in this program. Breakfast is provided by the Poway Unified School District Food and Nutrition Department. PS 7 is currently licensed but no longer used. PS 2 is currently licensed and still utilized. PS 1 is not currently licensed. PS 9 is currently licensed and utilized. The children in this program has a separate play area. Staff have a separate restroom facility from the children in care. An exit interview was conducted with Preschool Operations Supervisor, Christine Kutzner and a Notice of Site Visit was given and shall remain posted for 30 days.
