Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

who was listed as the teacher assistant, was left alone with 20 children for approximately 2 hours while waiting for replacement staff. Based on LPA observations, interviews conducted and record review, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the allegation that facility did not maintain adult-child ratio is found to be SUBSTANTIATED. This violation poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights risk to children in care. The Child Care facility is issued a citation in accordance with the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, Section 101516.5(b)(1): Teacher-Child Ratio. See page 2 for the cited deficiency. An exit interview was conducted. The appeal rights were discussed and provided along with a copy of this report to Director Natalie Swisse on this date. A Notice of Site Visit was posted.
