Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 11/19/25, at time listed above, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kelli Waters, arrived for a Proof of Correction visit, for the purpose of clearing a citation. LPA Waters met with Licensee Stacie Stricker, completed a visual inspection of the facility, and took census. During a facility annual inspection on 09/25/25, a citation, Title 22 California Code of Regulations (CCR) 102417(g)(5)(A), regarding in-ground pool enclosures was given. The plan of correction included adding additional section of fencing to remove possible access to pool area by 10/03/25 and send photographic evidence to LPA via email. During today\342\200\231s visit, LPA Waters visually inspected and measured the newly added pool fencing panels. LPA Waters observed the fencing surrounding the pool is mesh, 5 feet in height with a ground clearance of less than 2 inches. There are two self-closing, self-latching gates with a key lockable device at 60 inches. During the inspection, a water alarm meeting ASTM International Standard F2208 was observed and in working order, as tested by the licensee. Present in the pool area was a 12-foot, fixed-length rescue pole and a 20-inch life ring, both meeting AB2866 Health & Safety Code regulations. LPA observed that a daily pool inspection log is being completed on days of operation, and all safety measures are in place before the facility opens. LPA Waters reminded licensee to ensure that all in-ground pool enclosures must be in use during childcare hours. The plan of correction has been met. An exit interview was conducted, and LPA provided licensee a copy of this report and appeal rights. A proof of correction letter was given. Notice of Site visit was provided and must be posted for 30 days.
