What the inspector wrote

On 11/4/25 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Saraliz Velando visited the facility to conduct an annual inspection. Upon arrival LPA met with Director Nancy Awadalla and toured the facility. There were a total of 12 children with 6 staff members. Appropriate ratio and capacity was observed. Staff members have the required background clearances and are associated with the facility. Furniture and age-appropriate equipment is in good condition indoors and outdoors. Children's toilets and hand washing facilities are sanitary. Rooms are safe and clean. Food preparation area is clean, food and beverages are stored in covered containers at 45 degrees F or less if required, and storage containers for solid waste are covered. Drinking water is readily accessible inside and outside the classroom by filtered water from a water service and use of paper cups. Disinfectants, hazardous items and medications are inaccessible to children through latches and locks. Medications are kept in a locked box and inaccessible to children in every classroom and the box follows the children when they play outdoors. The outdoor play area is fenced. Playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The area under high climbing equipment such as swings, slides and similar equipment is cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. The outdoor play area has canopies used for shade. There are no bodies of water or weapons at this facility. The last fire drill was conducted on 10/30/25. There is an operational carbon monoxide detector at the facility. First Aid/CPR certifications were reviewed and are in compliance. Three meals are provided by the facility. Facility has emergency snacks on hand, stored appropriately and meeting nutritional requirements. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in safe condition and free of hazards. Children were observed to be under the supervision of fully qualified staff. An isolation area has been designated for children who become ill during the day at the Director\342\200\231s Office. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPAs discussed the safe sleep regulations with facility representative and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee [or facility representative] of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. LPA reviewed storage of \342\200\234medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP.
