What the inspector wrote

On 5/17/21 at 2:45 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst, Joelle Redding, conducted a virtual case management visit due to Covid-19 restrictions. The purpose of this visit is to inspect the facility for a requested increase in capacity. Fire clearance was received on 5/6/2021. During this visit, LPA toured the child care areas of the facility to include the downstairs bedroom that was recently added as "on limits" space. The upstairs is off limits and has been secured with a gate. The garage has been made inaccessible via a locking door. The cabinet under the sink has been secured with a latch as has the bedroom cabinet. Knives are inaccessbile in a block on the cabinet and will be moved to a higher place when school age children attend the program. The outdoor areas is fully fenced and large. Play equipment and a trampoline will be used according to manufacturers age and use recommendations. There is a jacuzzi in the back yard with a securely locked cover. No weapons are in the home and the fire place has been secured. Licensee has all appropriate forms posted to include Covid-19 informational posters for parents and children in appropriate areas for viewing. The Covid-19 self assessment guide was signed and provided to LPA prior to this visit and reviewed today. Licensee has sufficient PPE, no-touch thermometer and hand sanitizer. Drop off and pick up is at the front door, appropriate cleaning supplies and methods are in place and indoor spaces are large for social distancing. The children are outdoors as much as possible, when the weather permits. Licensee's program will be Monday thru Friday from 8 to 3 in the summer time with assistants to operate at large capacity. In the fall, she intends to resume a small license capacity with the program operating Monday thru Friday from 8:30 to 12:30. LPA revisted and reviewed children's records, capacity limitations, assistant requirements and checked the child care roster. The carbon monoxide detector, smoke alarms and fire extinguisher are operational. Increase in capacity is granted. An updated license will be sent for posting. This report is being delivered via email for signature, due to Covid 19 restrictions. Licensee's reply to this report is considered confirmation of receipt.
