Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jennifer Lott conducted an unannounced Case Management visit. LPA was greeted at the front door by licensee, Iktifa Altaie and granted entry after identifying herself and disclosed the purpose for her visit. Licensee's daughter, Maryam Altaie provided translating services as the licensee's primary language is Arabic. The purpose of LPA's visit was to discuss an application which had been received in our office on 01/01/2023 for an increase in capacity. On 05/30/2023, the Fire Marshall denied the fire clearance / capacity increase until further corrections could be made on the home. At this time, the license will remain at a capacity of eight (8) children. Licensee was advised they could reapply for an increase in capacity once all of their required corrections have been made. Exit interview conducted and report reviewed with licensee, Iktifa Altaie. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
