On 10/28/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Saraliz Velando conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection with Capacity Increase. LPA was greeted at the front door by Licensee, Maria D. Gonzales. LPA was granted entry after identifying herself and disclosing the purpose of the visit. There were 5 children present today. LIcensee uses the following areas for daycare: Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Bathroom 1, and Front Yard. The following areas are Off Limits: Bedrooms 1, 2 & 3, Bathroom 2, Backyard and Garage. LPA observed the home to have enough space to accommodate 14 children in care. Fire Clearance was granted on 10/9/25. LPA tested the smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector combo located in the hallway by Bathroom 1 and it was operational. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home and LPA did not observe any. There are no bodies of water at the Licensee\342\200\231s home, however there is pool at the neighbor\342\200\231s home to the west. There is a fireplace in the Living Room that has been screened for inaccessibility to children. Storage for poisons, detergents, cleaning solutions, medications are inaccessible to children by placement out of reach areas, latched, and located in off limits areas. The home is kept clean and orderly with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Outdoor play will take place in the fenced Front Yard with constant supervision. Pediatric CPR and First Aid card expires September 2027. Licensee also has a Mandated Reporter Training certificate that expires July 2027. There is a working telephone and email address. page 1 Applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed Applicant of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. There are no corrections needed at this time. Once final review is complete, a license for fourteen (14) children will be granted.
