What the inspector wrote

On 8/28/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Saraliz Velando conducted an unannounced annual inspection and inspected the new playground equipment. There were 33 children present with 6 staff present today. Facility is within ratio and capacity. The four classrooms were observed to be clean, orderly and at a comfortable temperature for children in care. The furniture, books, games and toys are safe, age-appropriate and in good repair. There is a variety of activities available throughout the day. All required forms were posted. Students bring their own lunch from home and the facility provides snacks. Food has been stored separately from any chemicals or cleaning products. Filtered water from a service is readily available to refill the children’s water bottles. Napping equipment is sufficient for each child, bedding is stored separately, and mats are disinfected after use. Facility has ensured that there is adequate space between mats. There is at least one staff member with a current CPR/First Aid card. This facility is prepared to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS, but there no children on IMS plans at his time. The new playground equipment requires an inspection from a certified playground equipment safety inspector before it can be approved for use by children. No deficiencies were cited today. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director, Mion Ek. A notice of site visit was posted and must remain for 30 days. A copy of this report and appeal rights were also provided during the visit.
